This is the mysterious symbiotic bond between the Authoritarian Leader and the infantile dependent masses, allowing to channel their emotions, is at the heart of the phenomenon of Totalitarianism and in its latest reincarnation, the Trumpism. This phenomenon is the clue, it has to be acknowledged and addressed. Politically, this bond has to be broken or significantly weakened if the Democrats are to achieve success.
