The real story is the real collusion between some, unidentified yet "rogue agents of the FBI New York Branch" with Russia, explicit or implicit; hypothetically designed and managed by New Abwehr The Demiurge through its witting and unwitting agents, assets, robots, and tools worldwide, primarily in the US, Russia, Europe, and Israel.

“There is no reason to doubt the seriousness or professionalism of the FBI,” Nadler said in a statement that added that his committee “will take steps to better understand both the president’s actions and the FBI’s response to that behavior, and to make certain that these career investigators are protected from President Trump’s increasingly unhinged attacks.”

Me thinks humbly, that in this unprecedented situation there should be a reason to take everything with a grain of salt, and to doubt everything and everyone, within the reasonable limits. The complexities and the complex relationships (like those between Mr. Trump and the FBI) have to be approached gingerly and carefully. The truth here is not one-dimensional

I also think that Trump's family was under the watchful eyes of the various special services for a long time, from the times of his paternal grandfather's emigration from Germany. Most likely, he was the Abwehr's agent, and his occupation, running a whorehouse, only confirms that, since those establishments were used for the military purposes, and were considered a part of the recreational and health-fitness aspects of the military personnel.

Trump's father Fred made his money building the housing projects for the Jewish German refugees after WW2, and the role of the Abwehr's financing (as a sort of reparation) in these projects should be elucidated.

Most likely, Trump's family had the long and "productive" relations with the FBI, and probably served as the FBI informants.

Donald Trump's relationships with Roy Cohn and the various Mob figures, as well as with the "high FBI officials (e.g. Kallstrom)" only confirm these complicated connections, which have to be revealed and understood in their entirety.

FBI: open, declassify, and publish all your files, and all the relevant information on Donald Trump, his family, and all their political and other connections. This should shed some light on these issues. The public has the right to know, and in these circumstances this right becomes imperative.

Mr. Nadler, do not paint the FBI as angels, they are not. Get all the complex truth out.

The suspected complicity of the New York City Branch of the FBI (as probably their, the FBI's, most pro-Trump faction) in what was described as "coup d'etat", is the broadly shared, and most likely, the justified concern, in the light of their traditional historical connections with the "Giuliani - Kallsrom cabal".

Investigate the New York branch of the FBI, for their pre-election, pro-Trump shenanigans in particular (of which the Anthony Weiner's sexting and emails affair, and the October 28 Letter might be the parts, amplified by the Russian-German, GRU-Abwehr-New Abwehr Social Media bots and propaganda; I believe), as the part of the general inquiry into the FBI, which is urgently needed; into its origins, history, and its postulated and reported, and very logical to presume, infiltration and penetration by the Abwehr, and by the New Abwehr

Sidney Blumenthal: "Cabal Of Right-Wing FBI Agents" Took Down Hillary In A "Coup D'Etat"
"After weeks/months of the Hillary campaign bashing Trump for "irresponsibly" questioning the legitimacy of the election process, Clinton-insider, Sid Blumenthal, is apparently making the media rounds in Europe attributing her loss to a "coup d'etat" organized by "a cabal of right-wing agents of the FBI in the New York office attached to Rudy Giuliani."

“It was the result of a cabal of right-wing agents of the FBI in the New York office attached to Rudy Giuliani, who was a member of Trump’s campaign.”
Investigate the investigators! Save America! Reform the FBI now!

"The Conspiracy Theory About the FBI Putsch Against Clinton and Democracy"
"According to a spate of new reports on Reuters, Daily Beast, Esquire, the Guardian and MSNBC,
the real story
behind the Fox News story, as well as the Comey letter, is a group of rogue FBI agents, mainly in the New York branch, who view Clinton as “the antichrist”, according to the Guardian, and who are hell-bent on making sure she doesn’t become President. The FBI, one agent told the Guardian, is “Trumpland.”

This alleged renegade group of agents includes those who were charged with investigating the new charges against Weiner,

the now-estranged husband of Clinton adviser Huma Abedin, who is suspected of sexting a 15-year-old girl. According to these reports, it was these agents who pressured Comey to investigate whether the emails on Weiner’s computer were possibly linked to the investigation of the emails that had been stored on Clinton’s unauthorized private server. The timing of Comey’s letter, according to this theory, wasn’t linked to any wish of his to influence the elections but stemmed from fear that the rogue agents would leak the story of Weiner’s computer to the press anyway. Democrats believe that Comey’s letter is at least part of the reason for Clinton’s fall in the polls over the past week.
The rogue agents on active duty in New York are supposedly in contact with the former head of the FBI’s New York Office, Jim Kallstrom, who once described the Clintons as a “crime family,”’ as in the Mafia. Kallstrom and many other former and current FBI agents are in touch with former New York Mayor and prosecutor Giuliani, one of Trump’s main supporters and the man who presided over the loudest “Lock Her Up” chorus at the GOP Convention this summer. Last Wednesday, in an interview with Fox News, Giuliani promised “big surprises that will change the race” and presto, two days later, Comey sent his letter. Giuliani promised, and Giuliani delivered...
If the conspiracy theory is even partially true, it’s nothing less than a sinister effort by rogue agents to undermine the elections process. Comey, in this scenario, isn’t out to sway the elections but is trying to maneuver between the politics outside the Bureau and the rebellious agents inside. If it’s even partially true, it is an unprecedented assault by an actual law enforcement agency against American democracy, which immediately brings to mind the dirty tricks and manipulations conducted against political enemies by the late FBI Director J Edgar Hoover. But even Hoover will seem like small fry if the plot succeeds, and Trump is elected.

America, in that case, will never be the same."

Trump actively hid info on meetings with Putin from top officials - report

US President Donald Trump has taken great pains to hide the details of his private conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin from top members of his own administration, the Washington Post reported Saturday night.
According to the report, in a break from standard policy and the practices of former presidents, Trump has denied top advisers detailed information of several meetings with the Russian leader, whom US agencies have accused of seeking to undermine American democracy.
It said top officials in the State Department and National Security Council have been unable to learn the particulars of at least two meetings — one in Hamburg in July 2017 and the other in Helsinki in July 2018.
Following the Hamburg meeting, the US leader took away the notes of his interpreter and instructed the person to keep quiet on what was said, the paper reported. Then-secretary of state Rex Tillerson sat in on that meeting, but also failed to provide top officials with any details on its contents beyond an official readout issued after the sit-down.
At the Helsinki summit Putin and Trump were joined only by their interpreters and, as in Hamburg, aides and top advisers were unable to receive a detailed account of what was said.
Trump faced widespread criticism following the Helsinki summit from both Democrats and Republicans, with his performance at a press conference alongside Putin — in which he sided with Moscow over his own government’s assertion that the Kremlin meddled in the 2016 US election, and heaped praise on the Russia strongman — roundly condemned by allies and critics alike.
Administration officials have been unable to glean details of at least three other public interactions between the leaders over the past two years.
In the past US presidents have made great effort to have their meetings with Russian leaders well documented, to allow top diplomats and security officials to study what was said and possible implications.
The president’s secrecy “is not only unusual by historical standards, it is outrageous,” Strobe Talbott, former deputy secretary of state under Bill Clinton.
“It handicaps the US government — the experts and advisers and Cabinet officers who are there to serve — and it certainly gives Putin much more scope to manipulate Trump.”
Speaking to Fox News after the Washington Post story was published, Trump dismissed the notion that he had taken steps to stifle the meetings’ contents.

Trump also raged on Saturday at a New York Times report according to which law enforcement officials became so alarmed by his 2017 dismissal of FBI director James Comey that they began probing whether he had been working for Russia against US interests.
Trump blasted the FBI on Twitter, insisting it acted “for no reason & with no proof” when it opened the investigation.
The New York Times reported that the FBI launched the previously undisclosed counterintelligence investigation to determine whether Trump posed a national security threat, at the same time that it opened a criminal probe into possible obstruction of justice by the president.
The investigation was subsequently folded into the broader probe by Special Counsel Robert Mueller into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election and possible collaboration by the Trump campaign.
No evidence has publicly emerged that Trump was secretly in contact with or took direction from Russian officials, the Times said.

“Wow, just learned in the Failing New York Times that the corrupt former leaders of the FBI, almost all fired or forced to leave the agency for some very bad reasons, opened up an investigation on me, for no reason & with no proof, after I fired Lyin’ James Comey, a total sleaze!” Trump tweeted.
According to Trump, “the FBI was in complete turmoil… because of Comey’s poor leadership” and the way he handled the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server to send some government emails.
“My firing of James Comey was a great day for America,” Trump said, describing the former FBI director as “a Crooked Cop who is being totally protected by his best friend, Bob Mueller.”
Asked in a late Saturday interview with Fox News whether he had ever worked for Russia, Trump replied: “I think it’s the most insulting thing I’ve ever been asked… I think it the most insulting article I’ve ever had written and if you read the article, you’d see that they found absolutely nothing.”
Such standard reactions from Trump “do nothing to address the incredibly serious nature of these allegations,” said Democratic Congressman Jerrold Nadler, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.
The Times said that the FBI had been suspicious of Trump’s ties to Russia during the 2016 campaign. But it held off on opening an investigation until the president sacked Comey, who refused to pledge allegiance to Trump and roll back the nascent Russia investigation.
The White House press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, called the Times report “absurd” and said Comey was fired for being “a disgraced partisan hack.” She also disputed that Trump had ever been soft on Russia.

“Unlike president Obama, who let Russia and other foreign adversaries push America around, President Trump has actually been tough on Russia,” Sanders said.
Trump has repeatedly criticized the Mueller probe as a “witch hunt” and views it as an attempt to besmirch the legitimacy of his presidency.
Mueller has indicted 33 people, including members of Russia’s GRU military intelligence, and chalked up convictions against some of the president’s close associates.
Trump’s ex-national security adviser, Michael Flynn, pleaded guilty to lying to investigators about his Moscow ties.
His former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, has been sentenced to three years in prison for multiple crimes, including felony violations of campaign finance laws that prosecutors allege were carried out under Trump’s direction.
Trump’s former presidential campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, has been convicted in one case brought by Mueller and pleaded guilty in another, over financial crimes related to his work in Ukraine before the 2016 campaign, and for witness tampering.
Cellphone records show that Cohen was near Prague during the summer of 2016, supporting claims that he met there with Russian officials during the presidential election campaign, McClatchy news service has reported.
Cohen, who will testify in Congress on February 7, insists that he has never been to Prague, but added in a tweet: “#Mueller knows everything!”

Mueller is Investigating Trump as a Russian Asset

Presidents Putin and Trump Photo: Alexander Nemenov/AFP/Getty Images
On Friday night, the New York Times published a bombshell report that the FBI has been investigating whether President Trump “had been working on behalf of Russia against American interests.” The story reframes the focus and purpose of the investigation now headed by Robert Mueller. The probe is not just about Russian election interference, or about Trump’s obstruction of the probe — it is about the secret relationship between Trump and Russia that appears to be causing both these things to happen.
The first question to ask yourself when absorbing this story is, what does it mean for a president to be working for Russia, and against the United States? Trump frequently says the United States would be better off if it got along better with Russia — and that position, right or wrong, is certainly not criminally suspect. Presidents obviously have the right to change American foreign policy, and to forge friendships with countries that had been previously hostile. Nixon’s overtures to China, or Obama’s opening of relations with Cuba, did not set off criminal investigations. The FBI would not investigate a president simply for harboring friendly views of a rival state.
The potential that Trump is working on behalf of Russia, therefore, by definition posits some kind of corrupt secret relationship. That is to say, it’s an investigation into whether Trump is a Russian asset.
When I wrote about this last summer, much of the pushback centered on the imagined accusation that Trump is a Russian “agent.” He is obviously not. An agent is not the same thing as an asset. An asset can describe a wide range of relationships, but in Trump’s case, it would mean that he is subject to sexual or financial blackmail, along with possibly some form of back-channel propaganda. We know for a fact that Trump is vulnerable to sexual blackmail, but that kind of leverage, if it exists, would be difficult for Mueller to obtain. (Sexual blackmail is only useful if you keep it locked up tightly.) It’s far more likely that Trump’s financial vulnerability opened him up to Russian leverage. And that is the kind of information American investigators can access.
A somewhat related issue is the question of whether Russia has some kind of backchannel to shape Trump’s thinking. Trump has met with Russian officials since 1987. It was after his first trip to Moscow that he first contemplated running for president. It is well within the realm of possibility that Russians used blackmail, bribes, or perhaps just simple flattery to help shape his thinking on world affairs.

It is hard to understand how else some of the idiosyncratic and bizarrely Russpohillic ideas he routinely spouts have found their way into Trump’s brain. His warning that tiny Montenegro is a threat to attack Russia, or his claim that the Soviet Union was right to invade Afghanistan in 1979, are not notions Trump would pick up from his normal routine of binge-watching Fox News.
Much of the public focus on the Mueller investigation has centered on campaign collusion. Russia worked to help elect Trump, and Trump and his campaign at minimum welcomed its help, and at maximum, actively participated. (Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort gave polling data to a Russian oligarch, the most likely use for which would have been guiding Russian social media efforts.) But campaign collusion is a relationship with a fixed endpoint: November 8, 2016. After Trump won presidency, any secretive or suspicious mutual interest between him and Vladimir Putin would conclude. Having succeeded in helping to elect the friendly Trump (and block the unfriendly Clinton), Putin could now operate with his chosen candidate on a normal president-to-president basis.
The Times report tells us that collusion is only part of the story. The relationship between Trump and Putin did not merely rest on their mutual interest in the Trump campaign defeating Clinton, but indicates some deeper connection. From the very beginning of this story, pundits have underestimated the full extent of Trump’s ties to Russia and how much deeper the story might yet go. Now we already know Mueller is not merely looking into crimes, but trying to ascertain the foundational loyalties of the President of the United States.

This is the week the game changed in the Russia investigation

Over the last 96 hours, we’ve learned that not only was campaign chairman Paul Manafort sharing polling with a Russian official linked to the country’s intelligence service during the course of the 2016 campaign, but also that special counsel Robert Mueller’s office spoke with Trump pollster Tony Fabrizio.
“Mueller’s team met with pollster Tony Fabrizio in February 2018, an interview that has not been previously reported and takes on new significance after Manafort’s attorneys revealed Tuesday that Mueller’s team is still interested in how Manafort shared polling data with his Russian intelligence-linked colleague.
“CNN journalists observed Fabrizio leaving the special counsel’s office on the first of February last year and have since confirmed he was meeting with Mueller’s team. At the time, the special counsel had been digging into Manafort’s finances and political work ahead of his trial.”
Big, big deal.
But wait, you say, we already knew Mueller was looking into the 2016 campaign and possible ties between it and Russia! And he already had people like George Papadopoulos and Michael Flynnadmitting that they weren’t totally honest in their testimony about the nature and breadth of their interactions with Russians! And we already knew that Manafort — along with Donald Trump Jr. and Jared Kushner — met with Russians including Natalia Veselnitskaya at Trump Tower in June 2016, a meeting that had been set up under the auspices that the Russians had dirt on Hillary Clinton!
And I will say that you are absolutely right! We did already know all of that!
But here’s what President Donald Trump could say, roughly, before this week: There was never a whiff of collusion between the Russians and any serious person in my campaign. Most of these people who have pleaded guilty I have never heard of before. Manafort was the campaign chairman, yes, but everything he did wrong came long before he was affiliated with my campaign.
He just can’t say that anymore. Not only do we know that Mueller knows Manafort was talking with — and sharing polling data with — Konstantin Kilimnik — while he was the head of Trump’s campaign, we also now know that Mueller has talked to the pollster from whom Manafort may well have taken those numbers that he shared with Kilimnik. (A source familiar with the situation told CNN that Fabrizio was unaware of what Manafort did with any and all polling data.)
Now, Trump said Thursday before he left for Texas that he “didn’t know anything about” Manafort’s dealing with Kilimnik — or the fact that his campaign chairman shared polling data with the Russian. And there is no evidence yet public that Manafort ever told Trump that he was talking with Kilimnik, much less sharing poll numbers and discussing Ukraine and Russia.
And sharing poll numbers with a Russian isn’t direct collusion — although the timing of Manafort’s conversations, which came shortly before Russia hacked into the Democratic National Committee servers and extracted emails that were eventually posted on the WikiLeaks website, is suspicious, to say the least.
The broader point here is that the news earlier this week about Manafort’s conversations with Kilimnik changed the game. No longer is this about what Manafort did prior to ever even entering Trump’s orbit. Now the conversation is about what Manafort did WHILE he was serving as the top official of Trump’s campaign.
What the Fabrizio news does is make clear, again, a) how much more Mueller knows about all of this than we do, b) how long he has known (the special counsel team interviewed Fabrizio LAST February) and c) how deep and intertwined all of this is with Trump’s top staff and aides.
Trump can continue to say that the Mueller probe is a hoax and a witch hunt. But the more we find out about what Mueller knows — and has known — the less credible that taunt from the President seems.
